About Wibstad Custom Works

Snow on the Sibley County prairie does not fall so much as travel. It comes off the stubble fields sideways, packs into the drive between the shelterbelt and the road, and rebuilds itself an hour after you leave. Wibstad Custom Works plows through that — driveways and approaches opened wide, walks cleared to the door, salt and sand where ice sets up under the drift. Wide is everything out here: push the banks back far enough in December and January still has somewhere to put itself. A yard light coming on over an open, black driveway at five in the morning is worth the alarm clock.
