About Big Bob's Custom Home Care

In Garrison the weather arrives off Mille Lacs first and asks permission later — wind that has crossed twenty miles of open water and shows up at the door with an armload of snow. Big Bob's Custom Home Care works those hours, the ones between the last plow on Highway 169 and the first cup of coffee, so a driveway is black and open by the time the porch light goes on. Plowing, shoveling the walk down to the step, salt and sand where the slope wants to argue — the work is simple and the result is not: a house that can leave whenever it wants. There is a particular pride in the clean line a blade leaves along a snowbank, squared off like a shelf. Come February, when the ice villages twinkle out on the lake, the drives in town stay just as passable.
