About Jake’s Removal LLC

The Otter Tail River goes under the highway at Frazee and keeps on toward the lakes, and the town lines up along it with Big Tom watching over the whole arrangement. When the wind comes across those open stretches in January, snow does not so much fall as travel. Jake's Removal LLC meets it in the dark — plowing driveways, opening approaches, clearing walks and steps, and pulling the ridge back off the apron so nobody has to climb over it. There is a stretch around four in the morning when the streetlights are the only color in town and every drive on the route comes open, one after another. By the time coffee is on somewhere, the day already has room to start.
