In Forest Lake, the year turns on water: the lake locks up hard in December and lets go again in April, and Bottem Landscaping keeps time by both. When the snow arrives, driveways get plowed and walks shoveled before the cold can set them into ice. When the thaw wins out, the same hands turn to lawns — mowing, cleanup, the long green work of a Minnesota summer. The three joined basins go from ice sheet to open blue, and the yards around them get the same full attention in either state. Forest Lake, Scandia, and Chisago City sit inside the rounds all year.
