About Backcountry Excavating LLC

Near Felton, the old gravel beach ridges of glacial Lake Agassiz rise from the Red River Valley, holding some of the native prairie that once covered this whole region. Backcountry Excavating LLC brings lawn care to homes in this small Clay County town, where the wind has a long run at everything. In July, while wildflowers bloom out on the ridges, a freshly mowed lawn in town is the tamed counterpart to all that wild grass. Mowing on ground this exposed rewards patience: even passes, tidy trim lines, nothing left ragged. A yard that looks finished under a sky with no end in sight is its own small accomplishment.
