About Greenstone Landscaping

Under Ely the rock is old past reckoning — pillowed greenstone, some of the oldest bedrock on the continent, sitting a few inches beneath the grass. Greenstone Landscaping works that thin margin, coaxing lawn from soil that never has much depth to give and mowing with a feel for where the ledge comes up to meet the blade. Summer arrives late here and leaves early, so the season runs dense: cut, trim, clear, repeat. Before freeze-up the yards get a thorough fall cleanup, leaves and needles gathered and hauled away. A kept lawn on this ground is a small argument with geology, and every June it wins.
