Hicks Property Maintenance & Snow Removal

About Hicks Property Maintenance & Snow Removal

Out past the last streetlight the wind has nothing to slow it down — it comes across open Scott County fields and lays a drift right where a driveway meets the road. Hicks Property Maintenance & Snow Removal keeps its hours by that wind, which usually means three in the morning with the heater running and the whole township asleep. A blade takes the drift down in one long pass, and then the corners get squared so the mailbox and the turnaround are usable by daylight. The reward is the sound of a car pulling out at seven without a pause. Elko New Market sits where the metro thins back into farmland, and that seam is where the snow stacks deepest.
