About Turf Enterprise Incorporated

Elk River is a meeting of waters — the little Elk running down into the broad Mississippi — and Turf Enterprise Incorporated works the town that grew up around that junction. Turf is the company's first name and its first love: full, even, healthy grass, mowed on schedule from the older streets near downtown out to the new lots along Highway 169. Come winter, the operation turns to snow, keeping drives and entrances open through the freeze-and-refill rhythm of a Minnesota season. There is a certain pleasure in the before-and-after of this trade: shaggy to striped in an afternoon, buried to bare in an hour. Turf Enterprise builds its year around those small transformations, one property at a time.
