On a July evening near Lake Orono, the light hangs on past nine and the whole neighborhood smells like grills and fresh-cut grass — some of that cut belongs to The Lawn Guys. They are exactly what the name promises: the people down the street who show up, mow it right, and leave a yard looking like summer should. When the lake freezes over and Elk River goes white, the same trucks come around with plows, opening driveways so the school run and the shift change happen without a shovel in sight. Warm months or cold, the work is steady and the results are easy to see from the curb. Around here, that is how you get to be known simply as the guys who do the lawns.
