About Nic's Works LLC

Snow in the pines around Gull Lake falls softer than it does out on open prairie, and it piles deeper — a foot of it can rest on a jack pine bough without a sound. Nic's Works LLC clears the ground beneath: driveways, lake-place approaches and walks around East Gull Lake, opened up while the sky is still dark at six in the morning. Resort roads out here run long and narrow between the trees, and every storm asks them the same question. Plowing, shoveling and keeping ice off a walk is the whole of the trade, done storm after storm from November into April. A cleared drive on a January morning is a small and complete kindness.
