Schmitz Lawn and Snow

About Schmitz Lawn and Snow

On a still January night the yard lights around Eagle Lake throw bright cones of falling snow, and the whole town goes quiet underneath it. Schmitz Lawn and Snow is out working in that quiet, pushing driveways clear and cutting paths to the door so the morning starts easy for somebody. By late April the lake ice has gone out, the grass wakes up, and those same properties move onto the mowing round — cut, trimmed, cleaned up in spring and again in fall. Two trades, one set of yards, the full twelve months. There is something deeply satisfying about knowing a place well enough to work it in the dark.
