Solstice Lawn & Pest

About Solstice Lawn & Pest

In late June, Eagan holds its light past nine o'clock, and the long evenings around Thomas Lake show exactly what a lawn has been given all season. Solstice Lawn & Pest works those daylight hours the way the name suggests — mowing, feeding, and edging yards from the oak-shaded streets near Patrick Eagan Park down to the newer cul-de-sacs off Cliff Road. Dakota County grass has its own calendar: a rush of green after the May rains, a July that tests every root, a September that rewards the lawns that were aerated and overseeded in time. The crew reads that calendar and works ahead of it, pulling weeds out of the equation before they ever get a vote. The result is the kind of yard a neighbor slows down for on an evening walk — a clean line at the sidewalk, a color that looks lit from within. That is the whole point of the longest days: more light on something worth looking at.
