Angelo's Plowing Co

About Angelo's Plowing Co

Four in the morning on a clipper night, and the streetlights along Cedar Grove catch snow still falling sideways. This is when Angelo's Plowing Co goes to work, running driveways and lots while Eagan sleeps, so the commute up I-35E toward St. Paul starts on clean pavement instead of six inches of powder. There is a rhythm to it — the pass, the backdrag, the berm pushed tight where it belongs and nowhere near the mailbox. By the time kitchen lights come on across town, the work is already behind them. A driveway cleared before the first boot hits it is a small, exact kind of satisfaction, and it is the whole job.
