About Snow Scholars | Duluth Snow Removal

There is a curriculum to snow at the head of the lake. You learn which wind loads which corner, where the drift always builds behind a detached garage, which Duluth hillside street glazes over first, which flat Superior driveway traps the plow ridge hardest. Snow Scholars puts that study to work on both sides of the bay — plowing drives and lots, clearing walks and entries, sanding and salting the ice hiding underneath. January mornings at fifteen below, harbor steaming, snow squeaking underfoot, are when the homework pays. Open pavement, done quietly, before the first car in the neighborhood turns over.
