Ric Lake Snowplowing

About Ric Lake Snowplowing

The gales of November are not a legend in Duluth; they are a forecast. When the wind swings northeast and the snow starts stacking against the city's famous grades — avenues so steep they switchback — Ric Lake Snowplowing goes to work. This is plow country at its most honest: midnight passes with the blade throwing rooster-tails of powder, driveways carved open again by morning, the banks pushed back far enough to survive the next round. On a hillside where a buried drive can strand a household, an early, thorough clearing is a genuine service to the day. Winter here runs long and means it. So does the plowing.
