About A-1 Landscaping LLC

Duluth is a city built on a tilt, and A-1 Landscaping LLC works that tilt from the harbor flats to the streets above Skyline Parkway. In summer the crew mows and trims yards that step down toward Lake Superior in terraces, each pass squaring the green against all that blue below. When winter arrives off the water, the same routes turn to plowing — opening driveways on grades that would otherwise hold a car until the thaw. There is real satisfaction in a hillside lot kept in order: grass crisp in July, pavement bare and black in January. On the Central Hillside, that is the whole of the work, done again and again, whatever the big lake decides to send.
