About Dilworth City Street Department

Some afternoons the sky is clear and the snow is still moving, lifted off the section fields west of town and laid back across the streets in long white ribs. The Dilworth City Street Department goes back out for that too: plowing the drifted lanes, cutting back the windrows, sanding the stops and the school corners. Flat country makes for fast driving and faster filling-in, so the crews read the wind as closely as the forecast. There is pride in a street that stays open through a day like that one. The town notices only that it got where it was going.
