Luce Line Landscapes

About Luce Line Landscapes

The Luce Line follows an old rail grade straight through Delano, a level ribbon of crushed limestone running east toward the city and west out into the fields. Luce Line Landscapes takes its bearings from that: mowing, trimming and edging through the growing months, landscape and bed work alongside, and cleanups at both ends of the season. When winter shuts the trail down to ski tracks, the same equipment turns to plowing drives, clearing walks and treating ice at the doorways. There is something satisfying about a straight line — the trail has one, and so should a lawn where it meets the walk. Year to year the route hardly changes; the work just changes shape.
