About Tonka Care LLC

The old rail line through Deephaven is a trail now, and on a June morning you can hear a mower running somewhere behind the lilacs before the first walkers come by. Tonka Care LLC keeps the yards on those streets between the trail and the bays — weekly cutting, a clean trim line along fence and foundation, a straight edge where the lawn meets the drive. Lake air keeps grass growing here, so the schedule holds right through the summer instead of stalling out in August. In April they pull the winter debris off and fertilize; by late October they are taking leaves down to bare turf. Midseason, when sails are out on the water past the end of the block, a well-kept lawn is simply part of what makes an evening here feel unhurried.
