About Olson Sanitation LLC

West of almost everything, the prairie opens out around Dawson and the Lac qui Parle River takes its slow turn past town. Olson Sanitation LLC keeps the lawns here — mowing, trimming along foundations and fence lines, edging the walks, hauling off what the season drops. Grass on this ground wants to sprawl toward the horizon the way the fields do; a yard holds its shape because somebody comes back to it week after week and gives it a line. There is a plain pleasure in the last pass down a boulevard on a long June evening, stripes running true and the sidewalk blown clean. Come October the work turns to leaves and to setting a yard down tidy, so the thaw finds it ready.
