About Upwoods Forestry Firewood LLC

Out in Culdrum the woods are never far from the back door; oak and aspen crowd right up to the edges of yards, and every October they let loose a blanket of leaves. Upwoods Forestry Firewood LLC comes at lawn care from the timber side, as a name rooted in the woods would suggest. The job is keeping grass mowed and trimmed where it meets the timber, clearing leaves and downed limbs before they smother the turf, and holding that boundary so the forest doesn't creep in. On a sharp autumn afternoon, with woodsmoke drifting from a chimney somewhere down the road, a yard raked back to green looks like a small victory over the season. Few things feel more like fall in central Minnesota.
