About Ortiz Lawn and Landscaping

By seven on a July evening the heat finally lets go of the valley and the shadows stretch across every lawn in the township. Ortiz Lawn and Landscaping is often still out then — finishing a mow, running the trimmer down a walk, sweeping a drive clean before the light goes. In Denmark Township a yard sits between hayfield and woodlot, so it is the borders that make it read as a yard at all. That firm line where grass meets gravel is the whole point, and it holds for a week. Cool air comes up off the river about the time the last machine goes on the trailer.
