About Augusta Greens

Early on a June morning, before the dew burns off the yards along Sand Creek, Augusta Greens is already tracing stripes into the grass of Coon Rapids. Mowing here is a kind of drawing — long parallel lines, the trim tight against every walk and bed. The name promises green, and the work delivers it, week after week through the growing months. When the creek stills under ice, the same crew turns to snow, opening driveways and sidewalks so the morning goes on as planned. Either way, the pleasure is the finished look of it: a lawn like a fairway, a driveway like a runway.
