About Grassland Solutions

Cokato at two in the morning under a streetlight is a quiet, orange, snowing sort of place, and somebody is already working. Grassland Solutions runs the overnight side of winter — driveways opened, business lots cleared and stacked out of the sightlines, sidewalks taken down to bare concrete, salt and sand where the melt refroze at the bottom of a slope. Wind off the open ground west of town rebuilds a drift with no particular respect for how recently it was moved, so a storm is a series of passes, not one. The reward is small and specific: headlights swinging into a clean driveway at six-thirty with nowhere to get stuck. In a town this size, that is a favor you do for people you will see at the grocery store.
