About A&E Outdoors

Out along Highway 12 the land lies open to the horizon, and when a west wind gets under a fresh six inches the fields hand it right back across the road. A&E Outdoors works both faces of that country: mowing, trimming and edging through the corn-tall summer, cleanups at either end, feeding and weed control to keep Cokato yards thick — then plowing, blowing out drifted approaches, clearing walks and salting the ice underneath. A ground blizzard can close a driveway an hour after it was opened, which is why the route gets run again rather than declared finished. There is real pleasure in coming back down a road and finding the last pass still holding. Same yards, summer and winter, same people looking after them.
