The Northman Yard

About The Northman Yard

Cloquet burned to the ground in 1918 and grew back — the pines around town today are proof that this ground knows how to return green. The Northman Yard tends lawns in that spirit: northern grass, brief fierce summers, and a conviction that a yard up here should be kept like it matters, because the season is too short to waste. Mowing, trimming, and cleanup run from the last snowmelt to the first hard freeze, every green week accounted for. A September evening on a thick, well-kept northern lawn is a small argument that the work was worth it. Up here, it always is.
