About Ruskell Outdoor Services

Driftless country does not roll; it folds. Around Chatfield the coulees drop away into trout water and hardwood, and every yard is a small flat truce with the hills. Ruskell Outdoor Services works both halves of that bargain — mowing, trimming and cleanups while the valley is green, plowing and shoveling once the ridge wind packs the drives shut and the hollows fill with white. October is the pivot, when the bluff oaks let go in one long week and the winter gear gets pulled to the front of the shed. Whatever the month, the aim holds steady: a place that looks tended, and a clear way in and out of it.
