About Red Flannel Landscaping

Fog settles into the Chosen Valley most summer mornings, and it burns off just about the time the first lawn of the day is ready to cut. Red Flannel Landscaping mows Chatfield's bluff-shadowed yards — the steep side lots, the terraces above Mill Creek, the level blocks in toward Main Street — and trims by hand whatever a mower cannot hold on a slope. Edges along walks and drives get cut back until the line is clean enough to sight down. Spring means raking the winter grit out of the turf; autumn means leaves, and in this valley the leaves come down hard. Driftless country grows grass fast between its ridges, and staying ahead of it is the whole job.
