About Alex Irrigation & Landscaping

Morning on Lake Carlos comes up silver, and the mist lifts off the water long before the first mower turns over. Alex Irrigation & Landscaping works this small town at the top of the Alexandria chain, where hardwood hills roll down to shoreline and nearly every yard slopes toward some piece of water. Summer here is lawn work — mowing, trimming, edging clean lines along the drives that run out toward the lake. Winter turns those same roads white, and the plow goes out to open them again before the day starts. It is good work to look back at: a cut lawn holding the light, a driveway black and clear under a gray Douglas County sky.
