About Schroeder Landscaping & Construction

Caledonia sits in Driftless country where the coulees fold away toward Beaver Creek Valley, and on a June morning fog lies in those hollows until the sun finally lifts it off the ridges. Schroeder Landscaping & Construction works the yards above and below that line, mowing ground that rarely agrees to be flat, trimming along stone and slope, edging beds and walks so the shapes hold. Spring cleanups clear the winter's blowdown, and fall cleanups take the hardwood leaves that come down all at once when the bluffs turn. Fertilizing, weed control and seeding keep the turf thick where rain likes to run. Hill ground is harder to keep, which is exactly why it looks so good when it is kept.
