About Evans Companies

North of Byron the Zumbro River winds through the wooded hollows of Oxbow Park, and after a heavy snowfall the valley goes so still you can almost hear flakes landing on the river ice. Back in town, Evans Companies takes on snow removal, aiming to have driveways open before the school buses begin their rounds. The craft shows in the finish: a drive cleared its full width, the mailbox reachable, the walk to the door scraped down so morning boots find solid footing. Southeastern Minnesota winters swing from wet, heavy snow to fine dry powder, and each one asks to be handled its own way. Watching a neighborhood wake to clear pavement after a night storm is a satisfaction all its own.
