About The Grounds Crew LLC

At dusk in late February, when the sky over Earley Lake goes violet and the day's melt starts refreezing on the sidewalks, The Grounds Crew LLC is often just finishing a route — headlights sweeping across driveways that were buried this morning and are bare now. That is the winter half of the trade: plowing, shoveling, staying ahead of the freeze so Burnsville's mornings start on solid footing. The other half arrives with the red-winged blackbirds along the pond edges, when the crew trades blades for mower decks and spends the green months keeping lawns cut, trimmed, and even across town. The name is meant literally — a crew, for the grounds, whatever the grounds happen to need. There is an old pleasure in that kind of usefulness: the yard squared up before a graduation party, the drive open before a shift starts. Season by season, block by block, it adds up to a town that works.
