About J&S Lawn and Snow Plus Auto Repair

Freezing rain is the sly one. It slips into Rice County ahead of the cold and glazes everything — steps, sidewalk, the last eight feet to the mailbox — and by dark the township is glass. J&S Lawn and Snow Plus Auto Repair works those nights and the plain snowy ones alike, plowing drives and lots, opening walks and entries, treating the ice until the footing comes back. There is a particular satisfaction in a shoveled step: square corners, bare tread, nothing left for a boot to skid on. When the weather finally quits, sometime past midnight, the drives around Bridgewater get their last pass and the plow lights swing back toward home.
