Lake Country Lawn and Snow

About Lake Country Lawn and Snow

January in Itasca County settles in at twenty below and stays there, the snow gone dry and squeaky underfoot, Trout Lake locked up under a foot of white. Lake Country Lawn and Snow runs the plow through all of it — driveways, lake roads, cabin approaches, and the long ones that fill back in by afternoon. Then the melt comes late, everything greens at once, and the same trucks turn to mowing, trimming and cleanup for the length of a short northern summer. It is one property list served in two opposite weathers, and both halves count. Around Bovey and its neighbors that adds up to an open road in February and a sharp lawn in July.
