About Urban Landworks ( Landscape Div.)

April in Bloomington is a slow reveal: snowbanks shrinking along the curbs, cottonwoods budding out over Long Meadow Lake, lawns emerging matted and ready for a rake. The Landscape Division of Urban Landworks works that turn of the year hard — cleanups that wake a yard up, mowing that keeps it presentable all summer, and, when the calendar swings back around, snow removal that keeps the same properties open through the deep months. Grounded on the east side of town near the refuge flats, the crew ranges across Bloomington and into Eagan and south Minneapolis. The pleasure of the work is in the before-and-after: a winter-flattened lawn standing green by Memorial Day, a snowed-in drive open by breakfast.
