Scenic Grounds Maintenance

About Scenic Grounds Maintenance

Blaine sits on old, open farm country, and when a January wind comes across that flat Anoka County ground it stacks snow against every garage door on the block. Scenic Grounds Maintenance is out in the dark hours those mornings, plowing driveways clean while the sky is still black over Highway 65 and the hockey families are only beginning to stir for early ice at the Super Rink. There is a particular satisfaction in it: the straight scrape of a cleared drive, the walkway cut down to bare concrete, salt laid before the first boot hits the step. By the time the commuter traffic builds toward 35W, the work is already behind them. Snow in this part of Minnesota does not ask permission — it drifts hard over open lots and cul-de-sacs alike — and clearing it well means a whole neighborhood gets to start its day on time. That is the trade: driveway plowing, sidewalk and walkway clearing, and ice control for homes across Blaine and the towns around it.
