Little Wings Dirtwork

About Little Wings Dirtwork

February nights around Bethel are still and cold enough to hear the pines shift, and the driveways out here run long and dark between them. Little Wings Dirtwork spends those nights plowing them open, down the full length, wide at the turnaround, square at the door, and clearing the walks so the first steps of the morning land on something solid. Snow in this part of Anoka County likes to hang up in the branches and let go on the second day, so the follow-up pass matters as much as the first one did. Working alone in the dark with the plow lights on has a quiet all its own. Then the sun comes up on a whole road of open drives, and nobody has to give it another thought.
