About Superior Outdoors

March in Bemidji is winter's long goodbye — snowbanks shrinking an inch a day, meltwater finding the ditches, the lake ice going dark before it goes. Superior Outdoors works that whole slow turn and everything on either side of it. Deep winter means plowing: driveways and lots cleared along the roads that run north toward Turtle River, often before the school buses roll. Then the ground reappears, and the work becomes raking winter's grit off lawns, waking the grass, and mowing it all summer while it grows like it's making up for lost time. It is the full arc of a northern year, taken on purpose.
