Lore Axe Tree Service

About Lore Axe Tree Service

In January the ice on Lake Bemidji lies flat and white, and the birches along the shore stand out like chalk marks against the pines. Lore Axe Tree Service does its pruning in that cold, when the wood is hard, the frozen ground carries a truck, and a cut closes over before anything can find it. Come July, when a storm crosses the lake and drops a limb through a porch roof, the cleanup starts the same hour the wind quits. Removal is for the trees that have grown too close to a house on the narrow lots between town and the river, because the Mississippi slips out the north end of the lake here and those yards were laid out long before the pines got tall. Trimming, done with some patience, hands back a view without leaving the tree looking like it lost an argument.
