Krazy Clippings

About Krazy Clippings

July in Becker Township means heat that shimmers off the driveway and thunderheads stacking up over the western fields by mid-afternoon. Krazy Clippings races that weather all summer — mowing, trimming, and blowing off walks before the sky opens up. Grass grows almost audibly in weeks like that, and staying ahead of it takes a certain cheerful stubbornness. The name is a wink; the cut is serious. When the storm finally breaks, the yards are already done, drinking in the rain with their stripes still showing.
