Better Call Bob

About Better Call Bob

When a January storm buries Battle Lake overnight and the docks hauled onto the beach become nothing but white humps, the obvious answer is right there in the name. Better Call Bob clears snow around this lake town, digging out driveways and walks so the morning can get going. There's a particular joy in the moment plow lights sweep a buried drive and the pavement comes back, strip by strip, under the glow. Across town the streetlights still hum over unbroken snow, and the only fresh tracks run out of driveways that have been opened up. Cold air, bare concrete, one less worry on a winter day: that's the call, answered.
