Thompson Greenery

About Thompson Greenery

Barnesville throws its Potato Days festival in late August, and the whole town seems to green up and dress for company as summer winds down. Thompson Greenery tends lawns here on the eastern rim of the Red River Valley, where the flat bed of ancient Lake Agassiz begins its gentle climb toward higher ground. A Barnesville yard mown even in late summer keeps a deep, cool green even as harvest dust drifts in from the farmland. The craft lives in the details: a trimmed border along the sidewalk, the mower's rows catching a long prairie sunset, nothing left shaggy around the mailbox. Greenery is the business's own name, and it is what it leaves behind wherever it works.
