Mike's Snow Plowing

About Mike's Snow Plowing

When a clipper drops six inches on Dakota County overnight, four in the morning on Johnny Cake Ridge Road belongs to the plows. Mike's Snow Plowing runs those hours on purpose — headlights in the falling snow, blade throwing a white wave to the boulevard, one driveway after another opened before the coffee makers click on. This is snow country, and Apple Valley winters are long enough that a cleared driveway is not a luxury; it is how the day starts on time. The satisfaction is in the finished pass: pavement showing, banks squared off, a whole street ready for morning. Then the truck moves on, and the town wakes up to find winter already handled.
