Red Pine Outdoor Services

About Red Pine Outdoor Services

Out past Anoka's neighborhoods, the Anoka Nature Preserve keeps a stand of oaks and evergreens where deer bed down and the wind sifts through the needles all winter. Red Pine Outdoor Services takes its name from that country — the tall, straight-standing tree of the north — and takes its standard from it too. Autumn is for lawn work: mowing down the last growth, clearing what the oaks let fall, leaving each yard squared away for the freeze. Then the snow arrives in earnest, bending the pine boughs low, and the crew turns to clearing sidewalks and driveways until the town can move again. Grass in the growing season, snow in the sleeping one; the outdoors is the whole job, and they would not trade it.
