Miller’s Home Concepts

About Miller’s Home Concepts

Anoka calls itself the Halloween Capital of the World, but by January the costumes are packed away and the porches of its older neighborhoods wear nothing but snow. Miller's Home Concepts is a home-improvement business that handles snow removal in this county-seat town, opening up front steps, sidewalks and driveways after each storm. Picture the mid-afternoon hush, when flakes are still sifting past the streetlamps and the brick storefronts on Main Street stand frosted like an old greeting card. A house looks tended when its path runs bare to the threshold, and that is the finish Miller's works toward. By suppertime the shovel leans against the garage and the walk shines dark and open under the porch light.
