About Mead Brothers Inc

Spring in Anoka announces itself at the Rum River Dam, where the thaw sends the river over the spillway in a loud, cold rush you can hear from a block away. Not long after that sound returns, Mead Brothers Inc begins the first cuts of the year — lawns shaggy from the melt, matted where the snowbanks sat, brought back into shape one pass at a time. Through the warm months the work settles into its cadence: mowing, trimming, the seasonal upkeep that keeps a yard from ever getting away from its owner. By the time the maples along the river go red, the lawns they tend have had a full season of attention. It shows, the way well-kept things always do.
