About O'Brien's Landscaping Corp

Andover sits on the Anoka Sand Plain, where a summer rain sinks into the pale ground almost as fast as it falls and a lawn has to be coaxed rather than commanded. O'Brien's Landscaping Corp tends lawns throughout this suburb, cutting and trimming until the turf holds its own against the July heat. Here the cul-de-sacs curve between old stands of oak, and a well-kept yard reads like a sentence finished properly. There is pride in the final run of the afternoon: stripes laid straight, the walk swept bare, a line along the driveway sharp enough to cast its own thin shadow. Come evening, when sprinklers start ticking down the block, the work simply sits there looking right.
