About Steve's Tree Service

Douglas County is a country of water — La Grand sits among lakes the glaciers left behind, threaded with township gravel and cottonwood shoreline. Late summer here has a certain hush: docks warm underfoot, wind moving through the basswoods, boat traffic thinning toward evening. Steve's Tree Service keeps the shoreline and yard trees on that ground in shape — pruning to open a view without stripping a lot bare, trimming growth that crowds a cabin roof, removing the ash and box elder that have given out. When a summer storm crosses the lakes and lays limbs across a driveway, storm damage cleanup is what puts the weekend back together. A lot done right just looks easy afterward, which is exactly the point.
