About Oakvik Outdoors

There is a week in early May when Albertville turns green almost overnight — the meltwater gone, the ground warm at last, every lawn in town suddenly asking for its first cut. Oakvik Outdoors lives for that week and all the ones that follow, mowing and trimming through a season Minnesota keeps brief on purpose. The first pass of the year is the sweetest: winter officially over, the mower's hum rolling down the block, green clippings on the driveway like proof. From Albertville to Otsego and Rogers, the rounds carry on until fall's last mow. Short season, full effort — that is the northern bargain, and it is kept here.
