About Rittgers Lawn Care & Landscaping

Akeley sits in the pines where the Paul Bunyan State Trail runs through, and lawns up here are carved out of woods rather than laid over prairie — sandy, shaded, laced with needles and roots. Rittgers Lawn Care & Landscaping mows and trims those pockets of green through the short northern summer, edges them clean, and rakes them out when the season turns. Lake places need it most; a cabin yard can go from tidy to overgrown in ten warm days of August. The contrast is the reward — close-cut grass with the dark pine wall standing right behind it. Hubbard County summers are brief, and they ought to be enjoyed from a good yard.
